Antwaun Stanley emerges with a sound that has met many. His voice lifts the spirit and pierces the soul. “Simply put: I want to create the right music for the right time,” he explains. “Every day, we chart into the unknown. No one truly knows what the future holds. But one thing I know for sure is that we’re all in this thing together; we are one under the same sun. And as we journey on, I hope to provide groovy morsels of inspiration that will speak to people’s emotional lives…to spread more love, hope, and peace all around.”

Antwaun Stanley's musical journey began in the most intimate of settings—his home in Flint, Michigan. Raised in the church, music was a constant presence that nurtured his soul from an early age. Antwaun has been traveling down this inspirational music road ever since his mother recognized his vocal gift at age three. At six years old, he began performing across the country.

His first major breakthrough came in 1996 when he auditioned for a Motown Records talent search, televised by BET. Among 25,000 aspiring singers, Antwaun was selected as one of the top two finalists in the competition. This pivotal moment launched him into the public eye, leading to appearances on talent shows such as NBC’s “Queen Latifah Show” and the syndicated “Showtime at the Apollo,” further stepping into the spotlight.

As Antwaun grew, so did his musical talent. His voice, soaring and richly emotive, blends elements of gospel, pop, soul, and R&B, reflecting the diverse influences that have shaped him along the way.

During his time at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor, Antwaun further developed his craft, releasing the gospel album "I Can Do Anything." This project achieved noteworthy success, garnering two Stellar Award nominations and climbing the Billboard charts. Beyond academia, he made waves with a college funk band, laying the foundation for significant future collaborations and expanding his artistic reach.

Antwaun’s partnership with Vulfpeck marked a turning point in his career, leading to dynamic performances that have drawn massive audiences, from selling out shows at Madison Square Garden to headlining major festivals in the US and abroad. Antwaun’s versatility has led to frequent collaborations across the musical spectrum. He has been fortunate to join numerous artists on stage and in the studio. Most notably, he has collaborated extensively with Cory Wong, having toured and featured on numerous recordings together.

In 2021, Antwaun's creative journey took another turn with the release of the "Ascension" EP, a collaboration with producer Tyler Duncan. This project showcased his evolving artistry and dynamic range, further cementing his connection with audiences.

In the fall of 2024, Antwaun embarked on an intimate acoustic tour across New England, featuring voice-and-piano performances. This tour was another milestone following a unique 2023 solo tour culminating in a sold-out show at Mercury Lounge in New York City.

Antwaun’s deep-rooted connection to Michigan’s rich tradition of soul music, combined with his ongoing creative exploration, continues to resonate with fans globally. With upcoming projects and his relentless passion, Antwaun Stanley remains poised to make an indelible impact on the world of music.
